'Reported assets' is the total amount of assets reported on each city or state's 'Statement of Net Position' in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). TIA sums the primary government's assets, including those of both governmental and business-type activities, and the assets of component units. Within our methodology, we exclude any reported 'net pension asset' or 'net OPEB asset' and any receivables between the primary government and its component units.
